Can you change your future_

Can someone change their future by changing what is going on in the present? By all accounts I would say YES to that question.

We all have decisions to make day in and day out. So if we make good decisions, we should have a good outcome in the long run. YES!

Well, my blog, business and faith filled, positive messages are my journey to do just that. Change my present AND my future AND help others do the same.

After having so many family members, including my parents, suffer from cancer and pass away in their mid 60’s I knew that I had to do something differently than they did. I couldn’t continue along that same path.

I love my husband so much and I look forward to our retirement. My mom was literally diagnosed with cancer at the same time she announced her retirement. She didn’t enjoy any of it because it will filled with treatments. It made me so sad because she always worked so hard and she deserved that retirement.

Throughout the journey of the last several years, I’ve come to realize that my faith was playing a HUGE role in how I handled life in general.

The last several years were VERY hard. The emotional struggle was huge and a lot of my childhood played a part in my anger and anxiety.

All I will say right now is that I was abused as a child. I know many of you reading this can relate and those if you who can’t, count yourself very blessed.

Although, I’ve come to accept it and understand that I am who I am today because of my past. What would I be like without that part of my life? I have no idea. But I do know that I can be the best version of myself today and that is exactly what I’m working hard to do.

So, what am I doing to help myself and my family along this path? Well, after the closing of my last direct sales company I knew that I either had to get a job or start over with something new. I chose starting over with something new because the perks of owning my own business are HUGE.

I started over with a company that I KNEW would bring health and eventually wealth to my family. I couldn’t think of anything better to focus on than a business where making my home and my body healthier were the main focus!

I also knew that I’ve seen a lot of success in my previous business and I knew that I’d love to help others achieve that same success. So, I thought I’d blog about some of what I did to become successful. I’ve already heard from a few folks who have read the posts who have really appreciated them. I love being able to give back!

My faith journey is one that I’m loving the most. I’ve always known that God has my back. I’ve seen big blessings over the years and especially through the pain of my mom and uncle’s illness and passing.

If you read my post A Little Kindness Can Go A Long Way you’ll see how I’m reminded all the time that God is in charge and blesses me over and over, especially just when I need it most. I just have to be open to and pray for it.

So, I read my devotional Jesus Calling by Sarah Young daily and I use it in conjunction with my Hope for Today bible with notes and encouragement scattered throughout by Joel and Victoria Osteen.

Yes, he is uber positive, but you know what? I LIKE hearing a positive message. The more positive I am, the better I feel and the better I make others feel.

I do believe that God WANTS to bless us. He wants us to have faith that he will take care of us. It took a lot of really hard situations for me to get to this point in my life but I’m here and I’m embracing it!

I went on a mission trip with my family at the end of December and the entire process from raising the money (I had just lost my job with my last company) to actually going on the trip were filled with situations that I thought impossible.

But each time I had a wonderful spiritual leader who constantly reminded me that God would and could do anything … to have faith.

Each and EVERY time I was shown that God would handle it, that miracles would happen. That when things didn’t go exactly like I wanted or expected, it was because God’s plan was way bigger than mine. Everything always turned out exactly like it should have.

So, can you change the future by changing the present? I believe so wholeheartedly.

Truthfully though, I no longer worry about the future, I focus on today because I know that today is what is really important. I’m being more proactive about my health, taking supplements that I know my body needs to be healthy. I’m exercising more, I’m eating better, I’ve lost weight and I pray every day.

I’m doing what I can do TODAY and YOU CAN TOO.

I’d love to hear how you are making positive changes TODAY. I think we can all learn from each other and encourage each other. Let’s take this journey together!

Wishing you many blessings,
